San Angelo Woman Arrested for Throat Punching a Cop

 

SAN ANGELO — A San Angelo woman has been arrested for assaulting a police officer after getting into a fight with a boyfriend and eventually throat punching a cop.

According to court documents, San Angelo police responded to the 200 block of Koberlin Street regarding a domestic disturbance call. Once on scene, officers learned that the dispute was between a woman and her boyfriend. Investigators were told at the time by police on scene that the boyfriend was being arrested for assault.

While officers were taking the boyfriend into custody, the woman, identified as Jaylynn Dosson, began to approach officers, affecting the arrest. One officer noticed this and attempted to step between Dosson and the arresting officers to prevent interference.

Then, Dosson allegedly escalated her actions to pushing and punching the officer who was preventing interference. During this assault, Dosson allegedly punched the officer in the neck/throat area casuing pain and a visible injury.

After this, Dosson was taken into custody and was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on February 5, 2023, then released on February 6, 2023, on $75,500 bond.
