Body Discovered in a Texas Panhandle Lake

AMARILLO, TX – A body was found in Lawrence Lake on Monday morning.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, on June 6, 2023, the APD received a call around 9:03 a.m. reporting a possible deceased person in the lake.

The APD Dive Team conducted a search and successfully recovered the body. Further details will be shared once available.

The APD Dive Team will continue to patrol the lake today, and the public is advised to avoid standing water.
