Former Police Officer Charged with Lewd Assault of a Child

 

FORT STOCKTON— A former Fort Stockton police officer has been arrested for crimes against children.

Enrique Irigoyen, a former Fort Stockton police sergeant, has been arrested and charged with two counts of indecency with a child and one count of aggravated sexual assault out of Pecos County. He was detained and arrested on June 16, 2023, and the Texas Rangers are investigating.

Fort Stockton’s Police Chief, Ernest Velasquez said, “The case has been referred to the prosecutor’s office.”. A subpoena was issued by a grand jury for Irigoyen’s arrest according to the Pecos County Sheriff’s Office.

Irigoyen made his $50,000 bond the same day.
