Ector County Man Kills Wife in Botched Murder-Suicide

ODESSA, TX – A man from Ector County was arrested Saturday for the murder of his wife in what appears to be a botched murder-suicide attempt.

According to the Ector County Sheriff's Office, on Aug. 12, 2023, at around 6:55 a.m., Deputies were called to a residence on the 16000 block of Snow Moon for the report of an attempted murder-suicide. Once on the scene, the deputies discovered a deceased female and a male who was unconscious.

The female was pronounced dead on the scene, while the male was transported to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

Later that day, ECSO disclosed to the public that the woman was 58-year-old Lisa Clark Miller. Her husband, Michael Brian Miller, 56, has been arrested in connection to the death of his wife. He currently sits in the Ector County Jail, facing murder charges.

News reports from the area have confirmed that Miller's brother called 911 after receiving alarming text messages from him. The cause of death is unknown at this time, but it is being alleged that the woman was beaten to death.
