Texas Rangers Investigate Body Found Near Train Tracks

 

CANYON, TX - The Texas Rangers were called into a small panhandle county on Sunday after a freight train employee spotted a body near the tracks.

According to reports, on Sep. 10, 2023, at around 9 a.m., Randall County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to the area of FM 3331 and the BNSF Railway bridge for the report of a body that was found near the tracks.

The deputies were alerted by a BNSF employee who spotted the person while on the tracks.

The RCSO has called in the Texas Rangers to take over the investigation. The body has been taken in for an autopsy.
