Unidentified Human Remains Found on Side of Road

 

STANTON, TX - An unidentified body was found in Martin County, as confirmed by Martin County Sheriff Brad Ingram on December 22.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office received a call on Friday at 6 p.m. reporting the discovery of what appeared to be a body. Following the report, the MCSO promptly responded to the scene, where they confirmed the presence of unidentified human remains.

Authorities suspect that the body was intentionally "disposed of" at the location where it was found, though the specific circumstances have yet to be disclosed. Notably, the area where the body was located is not being designated as a crime scene, according to MCSO statements.

To aid in the investigation, the Texas Rangers have been enlisted to provide assistance.

Sheriff Ingram emphasized the preliminary nature of the investigation, indicating a lack of further details at the current time. He added that more information is expected to be available following the completion of an autopsy.
