UPDATE: Illegals Who Bailed Out in Sonora Captured

 

SONORA, TX — Texas DPS Troopers have captured six suspected illegal aliens and the driver after a bailout in Sonora Thursday morning.  

According to law enforcement, the bailout happened in the vicinity of Hwy 277 North and Interstate 10 South Service Road on Jan. 25, at around 9 a.m. 

There are traffic restrictions affecting both north and southbound traffic on Hwy 277. 

The area around Motel 6 is also marked as an active crime scene.

Authorities advise the community to avoid these areas for safety reasons. 

If you encounter any suspicious individuals, please report them to the Sutton County Sheriff's Office at 325-387-2288. In emergencies, dial 911.

Despite the driver's apprehension, law enforcement presence remains in the Hwy 277 and I-10 area. 

As of now, there is no immediate threat to the community, but the situation is actively monitored. Further updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
