Missing Teen in Amber Alert Found Near Sterling City

 

STERLING CITY, TX — The Texas Center for the Missing issued a Houston Regional Amber Alert for a 15-year-old girl who went missing in Galveston, TX, on Tuesday, Feb. 20.

The Sterling County Sheriff's Office found the missing teen near Sterling City early Wednesday morning.

According to the Sterling County Sheriff's Office, after an extensive search, the Sheriff's Office received a call from a detective at Galveston PD giving a possible location of the missing 15-year-old.

The information received states that she was on a Greyhound bus traveling Northbound on US 87. Sheriff Russel Irby located the Greyhound bus approximately 18 miles North on US 87 in Sterling County.

The girl was safely located on the bus and then reunited with her parents at around 2:45 am early Wednesday morning, February 21.

The Amber Alert was canceled after the Sheriff's office located the 15-year-old. 

According to the alert, Gabriella was last seen around 4:02 a.m. on Tuesday, leaving the Dawn Condos in the 7000 block of Seawall Blvd. Officials say she was last seen entering an unknown vehicle leaving the condos.

According to Fox 26 Houston, officials in the Houston area said that she was on vacation with family and friends at the time and not from the area.
