Traffic Stop in Big Lake Leads to Drug Seizure and Arrest

 

BIG LAKE, TX – A Reagan County deputy arrested a driver following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of multiple drugs on the evening of June 3.

According to the Reagan County Sheriff’s Office, the deputy conducted a traffic stop at about 6:30 p.m. near 1310 US-67. During the encounter, the deputy reported smelling the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and initiated a probable cause search.

The search revealed marijuana, methamphetamine, and broken glass with suspected drug residue, which authorities say is under investigation. The driver was taken into custody and booked into the Reagan County Jail.
