Plaques Stolen From San Angelo’s Fairmount Cemetery; Reward Offered

SAN ANGELO, TX — Authorities are asking for the public’s help after two commemorative plaques were stolen from Fairmount Cemetery earlier this year.

According to Concho Valley Crime Stoppers, the theft occurred in mid-March 2025 when the plaques were taken from the cemetery’s fence. Officials described the incident as a “senseless act” that not only caused property damage but also disrespected the historic site, which serves as a place of honor and remembrance in the community.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of more than $2,500 for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (325) 658-4357 or submit a tip through the P3 App. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
