COKE COUNTY, TX — Two people were arrested after deputies seized methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia during a search of a local residence on September 25, according to the Coke County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy Eudy developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant, which was executed with assistance from Deputy McGlothlin, Sheriff Williams, Sterling County K-9 Deputy Shields, and DPS Criminal Investigations Division agents.
Inside the home, officers located a substantial amount of suspected narcotics and paraphernalia, including syringes, pipes, and bagged substances submitted into evidence.
The suspects were identified as Michael Allen Kirl, 63, and Ruby Lee Silvas, 64. Both were booked into the Tom Green County Jail with no bond.
Kirl was charged with possession of a controlled substance (penalty group 1, between 4 and 200 grams) and possession of marijuana under 2 ounces. Silvas was charged with possession of a controlled substance (penalty group 1, between 4 and 200 grams).
Additional charges are pending, and the case remains under investigation, authorities stated.
