AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced the capture of this month’s featured fugitive, Robert Bustrillo-Vasquiez, a Honduran felon from Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List. He was arrested on Monday morning, and a Crime Stoppers reward will not be paid.
Bustrillo-Vasquiez, 33, was taken into custody at a San Antonio job site by DPS Criminal Investigations Division special agents and Texas Highway Patrol troopers. He had been wanted in Bexar County since Aug. 11, 2025, on charges of aggravated kidnapping causing bodily injury/sexual abuse, aggravated sexual assault and smuggling of persons.
Authorities said Bustrillo-Vasquiez has been deported multiple times since 2010, most recently in February 2018. He previously served time in federal prison for felony reentry of a deported alien and was arrested by Austin police several times in 2013 and 2014 for assault.
Funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, Texas Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of fugitives on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted lists. So far in 2025, DPS and partner agencies have arrested 51 fugitives, sex offenders and criminal illegal immigrants, paying out $37,000 in rewards.
