Police Seek Public's Help Identifying Vandalism, Assault Suspects in Big Spring

BIG SPRING, TX — Big Spring police and Howard County Crimestoppers are asking for the public's assistance in identifying suspects in two recent incidents captured on surveillance video: one involving three individuals throwing rocks to cause $1,000 in damage to a building, and another showing a group assault on a man.

In the vandalism case, officers responded around 6 p.m. Jan. 19 to the 1500 block of South Birdwell Lane for a report of criminal mischief. Video provided by a caller shows three suspects throwing rocks at a nearby structure, resulting in about $1,000 worth of damage.

In the separate assault incident, police were dispatched around 10:31 p.m. Jan. 25 to the 100 block of East Third Street following a disturbance call. Video footage depicts a male in a gray hoodie being assaulted by several people. It also shows another male — wearing glasses, a black jacket, light-colored jeans and with black hair — joining the attack and forcing the victim to the ground. Authorities are seeking the identity of that individual and others involved.

No arrests have been made in either case, and investigations remain ongoing.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Big Spring / Howard County Crimestoppers anonymously by calling (432) 263-TIPS (8477), using the P3 Tips mobile app, or submitting online at www.p3tips.com/1277. Tips may qualify for a cash reward.
