Reagan County ISD Teacher's Aide Arrested for Improper Relationships With Students

BIG LAKE, TX — A Reagan County High School teacher’s aide has been arrested for allegedly having sexual relationships with several male students.

According to court documents received from the Reagan County Justice of the Peace Office, on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, around 3:41 p.m., two investigators with the Reagan County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division were dispatched to the Reagan County ISD superintendent’s office.

Once the investigators arrived, the superintendent informed them that he had been notified by the high school principal that another teacher’s aide had overheard that Chelsea Nicole Shook had sexual relations with several male students.

The superintendent informed the investigators that Shook was a full-time employee at Reagan County High School as a teacher’s aide.

The investigators spoke with several students and former students including one who confirmed that he did have a sexual relationship with Shook, but they were not sure of the exact date or if he was still a student enrolled in the high school at the time.

Shook was interviewed at the Reagan County Sheriff’s Office, where she allegedly told them she did have sexual relationships with at least two students, but it was after they both had graduated.

On Jan. 27, 2026, around 6:25 p.m., a Reagan County Sheriff’s Deputy informed the investigator he was flagged down by someone who stated he was requesting to meet at the Sheriff’s Office for an interview.

The interview took place at 6:40 p.m. that same day, and he informed the investigator that while he was enrolled as a student at Reagan County High School, Shook had contacted him via direct message on Instagram. Shook allegedly sent him several nude photographs of herself. He also stated that on Jan. 15, 2023, while enrolled in school, he met with Shook at her residence around 11 p.m. and had sexual intercourse. He also said that a second encounter occurred in February 2023 at her residence.

After these statements, Shook was arrested by the Reagan County Sheriff’s Office.
