Update: Fatal Shooting in San Angelo — Teen Victim Dead, 19-Year-Old in Custody

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — An 18-year-old was pronounced deceased after being shot Friday evening at the Windmill Apartments, and police have taken a 19-year-old male into custody, authorities stated. 

San Angelo police officers were dispatched at about 8:45 p.m. to 1929 Raney St. for a report of a shooting victim, according to a department statement.

Upon arrival, officers took the 19-year-old into custody and located the 18-year-old victim inside an apartment. The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center, where emergency room staff later pronounced him deceased. 

Police described the incident as isolated, with no ongoing threat to the public. 

The investigation remains active, and additional details will be released as they become available, the department said.
