San Angelo Man Jailed for Drugs and Making Explicit Video With Toddler

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has been arrested for uploading a homemade video containing child pornography to Snapchat, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by San Angelo LIVE!. 

Javon Brown, 33, was arrested for indecency with a child and drug charges.

The document states that on April 19, 2026, the social media app Snapchat became aware that two videos were uploaded using its service. Snapchat reported its findings to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that the account “papafrosty8” had uploaded two videos suspected of containing child sexual molestation.

Snapchat included the videos in its report to NCMEC, and an investigator determined that one of them contained obvious indecency with a child. The 9-second video showed a male sitting in front of a camera with his genitals exposed. The male had one hand on his genitals and was holding a toddler in his other hand. The toddler could clearly see the male’s genitals, the report states. 

The video appeared to be homemade, meaning that the owner of the Snapchat account most likely filmed the video. It should also be noted that the account owner shared this video with other users on Snapchat while in a chat.

The investigator identified the suspect as Javon Brown, and he lived in the 2000 block of Greenwood Street in San Angelo.

On April 21, 2026, the investigator executed a search warrant at Brown’s residence and located the toddler depicted in the Snapchat video. The toddler’s mother was shown a printed screenshot of the video, and she confirmed the man as Brown.

In an interview with Brown, he allegedly admitted to filming the video two or three days prior and sending it to a “girl” on Snapchat.

Also, on April 21, 2026, a Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office investigator obtained a search warrant for Brown’s residence. They observed Brown leaving his residence and conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle.

During the search of his residence, an ice chest was located in a bedroom. Inside the cooler, they discovered several bags of marijuana, a portable scale, a box of plastic sandwich bags, and a large cup with fresh marijuana remnants inside. Approximately 12.75 ounces of marijuana, 6.58 grams of cocaine, and $1,194 in US currency were seized.

Brown was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail for the drug possession charges and the indecency with a child charge. He has a $105,000 bond.
