SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has been arrested for possessing child pornography and utilizing AI to create the images.
Joshua Gee, 34, was arrested by the Texas Department of Public Safety for possession of child pornography.
According to court documents, on May 5, 2026, around 9 a.m., the DPS Criminal Investigations Division was conducting an investigation into the downloading, possessing and distribution of child pornography using Google, Photobucket and Dropbox.
A search warrant was executed on May 5 at a residence in Tom Green County, and Gee was identified as a suspect. Gee possessed a Lenovo tablet, which he claimed ownership of, that contained a video of child porn. During an interview, Gee allegedly admitted to using "file hosting websites" linked to his email address to download and save bulk batch files of the images.
Gee allegedly admitted to observing lewd content containing children on his cell phone and tablet.
During a search of Gee’s cell phone, the special agent who was investigating identified more than 50 images or videos of child pornography. He also said that he used AI programs and models to create approximately 20-30 images of “topless cheerleaders” who were also young teens.
Gee also stated that he would ensure that any images or videos of child pornography that he downloaded or viewed would have prepubescent female children no younger than 10 years old engaging in sexual activity.
Gee was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County on May 5 and has a $50,000 bond.
