AUSTIN, TX – Texas Department of Public Safety officials have named Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Alejandro Villegas as the Featured Fugitive for July and increased the reward for information leading to his arrest to $6,000.
Villegas, 32, of Fort Worth, has been wanted in Tarrant County since January 2026 for a probation violation stemming from a conviction for sexual assault of a child. In March, the Fort Worth Police Department also issued a warrant charging him with failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
According to DPS, Villegas was arrested by the Arlington Police Department in 2017 on a robbery charge and later received 36 months of probation. In 2022, he was arrested by the Grand Prairie Police Department for the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl. He was later convicted and sentenced to 96 months of probation.
Villegas is 6 feet tall, weighs about 185 pounds and has ties to Fort Worth, Arlington and Dallas.
The increased $6,000 reward is available for tips received during July that lead to his arrest through the Texas Crime Stoppers program.
DPS said law enforcement agencies have arrested 44 Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives, sex offenders and criminal illegal immigrants so far in 2026, including 32 sex offenders and eight gang members. Texas Crime Stoppers has paid $61,500 in rewards for tips that resulted in those arrests.
To be eligible for a cash reward, tipsters must submit information anonymously through one of three approved methods: by calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477), submitting a web tip through the DPS website or submitting a tip through the DPS Facebook page. Anonymous tipsters are assigned a tip number instead of using their name.
