San Angelo Man Jailed for Uploading Lewd Images of Children to Google

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has been arrested for uploading child pornography onto the internet.

Randy Jimenez, 43, has been arrested by the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office for possession of child pornography.

According to court documents, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office received a cybertip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children which said on or around June 29, 2026, Google became aware of media files being uploaded by an unknown individual. Google provided the email account and that had uploaded 69 images and videos that contained suspected child pornography to Google Photo and Google Drive.

Google included the suspected media files with the report to NCMEC and they contained children between the suspected ages of 5 and 13 years old performing, posing and engaging sexual activity with adults. 

The cybertip also provided information showing that the child pornography media files were uploaded using an IP address registered to Optimum in San Angelo. 

A search warrant was submitted to Google for the basic information and stored digital media files for the suspected email account, which identified the account owner as Jimenez.

On July 16, 2026, the investigator executed a search warrant on Jimenez’s residence. Then, an interview was conducted with Jimenez, who admitted to viewing child pornography. He also allegedly admitted that it was his Google account. He also claimed that he had child pornography downloaded on his cellphone, but he “lost” it several weeks prior.

Jimenez was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail on July 17, 2026, where he is being held on a $250,000 bond.
