ELDORADO, TX — A 53-year-old man was sentenced Monday to 20 years in prison after a jury convicted him of indecency with a child by sexual contact.
Ernesto Garcia Aranda was found guilty by a Schleicher County jury following a trial that began Aug. 24 and ended Aug. 27. He was arrested June 14 and indicted July 16.
The jury assessed the maximum sentence of 20 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division. The charge carries a range of two to 20 years. 51st District Judge Carmen Dusek presided. 51st District Attorney Allison Palmer and Assistant District Attorney Jensen Martinez prosecuted the case.
