SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo ISD Board of Trustees will vote Monday on authorizing the sale of 2025 school building bonds and selecting an architect for major projects tied to the district’s recently approved bond package.
The regular meeting is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. on June 16 at the SAISD Administration Building, 1621 University Ave. Trustees will consider an order authorizing the issuance and sale of Unlimited Tax School Building Bonds, Series 2025, following the passage of Proposition A in the May 2025 election. The $397 million bond will fund school facility construction and improvements across the district.
Also up for consideration is the selection of Parkhill Architects to continue providing design and contract administration services for bond projects. Parkhill has worked with SAISD on bond planning and assessments for the past two years.
The board will also receive an informational update on the construction projects and proposed delivery methods for the 2025 bond program. No board action is required for this agenda item.
Other action items include extending the district’s bank depository contract with First Financial Bank through August 2027, approving May 2025 financial statements, and authorizing an HVAC controls upgrade for the Tucker Building at Central High School.
Earlier in the evening, trustees will recognize SAISD’s 2024 Teachers of the Year and donors supporting the San Angelo READS! initiative. Informational updates are also scheduled on construction progress, academic programs, Head Start, PowerSchool, graduation planning for the Class of 2026, and a public hearing on the 2025–2026 ESSA Consolidated Grant.
The meeting will open with an invocation by Pastor Trey Holmes of Community Hills Christian Church, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by students from McGill Elementary, Lone Star Middle School, and Glenn Middle School.
