Angelo State Wind Ensemble Concert 'Steampunk Dreams'

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State University Wind Ensemble will present its first concert of the fall season on Sunday, Oct. 5, in the Murphey Performance Hall at 72 W. College Ave. in downtown San Angelo.

Titled "Steampunk Dreams," the concert will begin at 2:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The musical program will include:

  • "First Suite in E-flat" by Gustav Holst
  • "Suite Dreams" by Steven Bryant
  • "Steampunk Suite" by Erika Svanoe
  • "Apocalyptic Dreams" by David Gillingham

The ASU Wind Ensemble features 50 student musicians performing on various woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. It is directed by Dr. Jonathan Alvis, ASU director of bands.
