San Angelo Symphony Combines With Case Hardin's Texas Country Tonight

It will be a night of holiday symphonic music with a local, country twist tonight. The San Angelo Symphony will present the "Reindeer Round Up" featuring Case Hardin and the Day Money Band beginning at 7 p.m. at the McNease Convention Center.

The San Angelo Symphony orchestra is scheduled to perform many holiday favorites, along with a few Case Hardin originals. The San Angelo Symphony has had a long and eventful existence, 65 years of engaging and educational experiences of the highest quality orchestral music, while the Case Hardin and the Day Money Band are a local favorite.

For those who don’t know or had the pleasure of hearing the Case Hardin and the Day Money Band, their background begins with Case Hardin who is a native of San Angelo and began his music career during his senior year of high school in 2013. He hasn't looked back since his American Idol debut that same year.

Supported by his Day Money Band (which includes band members Cameron Baker – Lead Guitar and Band Leader, Mariano Cordero – Bass, David Reyes – Drums, Buck Martin – Fiddle and Background Vocalist, Kenny Grohman – Steel Guitar, Rian Castillo – Keyboard and Background Vocalist), his influences are very recognizable in the manner that he plays, from classic country greats like Merle Haggard and Conway Twitty all the way to performers like George Strait, Tracy Byrd, Cody Johnson, and Brooks & Dunn. Case Hardin has performed with Jody Nix, Jake Hooker, Billy Mata, Floyd Domino, Dave Alexander and Asleep At The Wheel’s great, Jason Roberts. He has also opened for Casey Donahew, Cory Morrow, Jason Boland, Radney Foster and other Nashville/Texas Country Legends.

This Christmas Pops concert is scheduled for Saturday, December 5th with the doors opening at 6 p.m. and the ASU String Quartet greeting attendees with holiday selections in the lobby to spread the cheer and set the mood for the “Reindeer Round Up”. As a special holiday treat, there will also be cookies offered during the intermission in the lobby. The main bar, as well as the VIP bar upstairs, will also open at 6 p.m. in addition to being open during intermission for guests.

Ticket prices are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, $10 for students, children and active military.

Tickets are available at the Symphony office, In Vino Veritas, Legend Jewelers, Blair's Western Wear, and Elite Physique on Southwest.

As a friendly reminder, Concho Street at Chadbourne Street will be closed from roughly 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday to allow for the Christmas Light Parade. Concert attendees are encouraged to plan an alternate route to the McNease Convention Center for the Christmas Pops concert that evening.
