Voices Unlimited Presents Holiday Concert at Mount Carmel Hermitage

Voices Unlimited, a San Angelo vocal group made up primarily of Angelo State University alumni, will present a holiday concert on Dec. 14, said a press release Monday. The concert will take place at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the Mount Carmel Hermitage near Christoval.

According to the press release, the select ensemble first performed at the Hermitage in 2014. Members are sopranos Patti Wetzel and Alexis Joliff, altos Suzie Reynolds and Brenda Wellen, tenors Ben Hubert and Jason White, and basses Mark Cooper and Cameron O'Briant. Dr. Pamela Lee, the conductor and pianist, has been the ASU director of choral activities since 1994.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, will include "Caroling, Caroling," "This Is Christmas," and "Some Children See Him" by Alfred Burt. A number of other hymns and spiritual holiday songs will be performed, and Christmas classics such as "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas" will be included in the program as well.

The Carmelite monks will also open the Hermitage gift shop for Christmas season shopping. Directions to the Mount Carmel Hermitage can be found at www.carmelitehermits.org.
