SAN ANGELO, TX — Water Logistics is pleased to announce the team there is sponsoring a lip syncing contest at the Dos Equis West Texas Jam for cash money. Anyone can enter to be selected to compete, but you must have a ticket to the concert to be considered.
The Dos Equis West Texas Jam will happen March 30 at the San Angelo RiverStage. Three bands, known as the best tribute bands in the nation for Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and AC/DC will rock next to the Concho River.
In between the first two acts, Blaze of Glory (as Bon Jovi) and Def Leggend (as Def Leppard), Water Logistics will hold a lip syncing contest.
There will be prize money involved. First prize will win bragging rights to be the best and most authentic 1980s head banger and take home a crisp, brand new $100 bill. The runner-up in second place gets $50 in prize money.
Participants are encouraged to dress like it’s 1984 and each will take the stage to perform their best lip sync to whatever 1980s song the sound guy can find in his vast music catalog.
Judging the Water Logistics lip syncing contest will be members of the bands performing and other judges to be confirmed.
According to Will Wiggins, partner at Water Logistics, sponsoring the lip syncing contest is a way to promote his company’s irrigation supplies and hardware they sell and install throughout West Texas from their headquarters at 4989 Old Christoval Road in San Angelo.
Wiggins and his partner Brandon Zesch have over 40 years combined in the water well business. For agriculture, Water Logistics sells and maintains Valley Pivot irrigation systems for crop irrigation. With the recent surge in oil field activity, Water Logistics also services and rents oil field equipment like light towers, generators, and pipes and meters for water distribution and supply.
Not everyone who signs up can compete, so we will select the best five applicants who sign up. Tell us a little about how you intend to win!
