Is the NFL Scripted?

SAN ANGELO— Is the NFL rigged? A former player went on a podcast earlier this week and told his side of argument.

Former Houston Texan running back Arian Foster was on an episode of the Barstool Sports podcast “Macrodosing” and said that yes, the NFL is rigged. Not only that it’s rigged, but player get a script before the season starts and practice is about following that script.

PFT Commenter, a host on the podcast said before the podcast started, Foster told him the NFL gives players a script the first week of training camp.

“Arian was telling me the NFL is rigged,” PFT Commenter said, “and how every year you would get a script, day one of training camp, that would get dropped off at your locker… It was week one, you’ll do this, week two, you’re going to have a hamstring injury, week three, this is going to happen, week four, you’re going to get three touchdowns.

“Yeah.” Foster said, “We were really dedicated to it. So, it was more so like that’s what practice was about, it was about practicing the script. This is what goes on, this is what we have to do. (Like the) WWF, so it’s like we know what’s going to happen. You still got to put on a show.”

Another podcaster in the room interjected and asked what Foster thought about the script when his “career was going to fall a cliff” after he “stopped believing in God” in 2016.

“That was 2015,” Foster said, “Oddly, enough, the scriptwriters didn’t have anything to do with that actually. It has more so to do with they needed a change in Houston.”

This has blown up in the NFL world as more and more people think the NFL is scripted as Foster was being sarcastic in his comments.

Jacksonville Jaguar quarterback Trevor Lawrence only fueled the discussion on a scripted NFL in his post-game interview after the Jaguars came back from 27 points down against the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2023 Playoffs.

“You couldn’t write a crazier script.” Lawrence said. Of course, it was an interview on the field right after the game ended.

In a NSFW clip, youtuber and influencer Mark Phillips, SupremeDreams_1 on twitter, posted a joking bit about the Rams coming back against Tampa Bay in the 2022 Playoffs.

Current NFL cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens, Marlon Humphrey, tweeted his response to Foster’s comments.

Of course, twitter had a field day with Foster’s comments. Some of these responses are NSFW.

Former NFL player Aaron Hernandez, was convicted of the murder in 2015 for killing Odin Lloyd in 2013.

Darmar Hamlin is the Bill's safety that went into cardiac arrest after getting hit in the chest on the filed against the Cincinnati Bengals in the regular season. Since, Hamlin has made a recovery.

"Not only that it’s rigged, but player get a script before the season starts and practice is about following that script."

I believe someone is either off their meds or taking too many meds.

"Not only that it’s rigged, but player get a script before the season starts and practice is about following that script."

This sounds like some kind of LSD flashback to me.
