“Nasworthy Nights” Brings Live Music to the Lake

SAN ANGELO, TX — Lake Nasworthy in San Angelo will be alive Saturday night to the sounds of Texas Country Music performer Kody West. Hayden McBride will open for West.

The gates open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. and will be located on a large swath of land that forms a peninsula that is adjacent to the Spring Creek Marina and RV Park, 2680 Camper Rd. In San Angelo.

This is the first of four concerts planned throughout the summer. Following the Kody West concert, the concert series named “Nasworthy Nights” will feature:

  • June 17: Logan Samford with local Texas Country Band 12 Mile opening
  • July 3: Slade Coulter with opener Cooper Moorman
  • July 4: Live 80! A popular contemporary hits show featuring songs of the 1980s.

Event organizer Raythen Broadway said the concert stage is going up now. It is a remodeled trailer from the old days of the boat races at Lake Nasworthy. By remodeling, he means he is making the stage large, a 40-foot x 40-foot stage with a riser for the drums.

Tickets for Saturday’s inaugural concert are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. There are food truck concessions but beer you can bring in your own cooler with a $20 cooler fee. The marina will also sell beer. Get advance tickets at eTix.
