Polo on the Concho: A West Texas Celebration of Equestrian Sport Returns to Fort Concho Parade Ground

 

SAN ANGELO, Texas - Equestrian enthusiasts and locals alike are gearing up for the annual Polo on the Concho event, set to take place at the historic Fort Concho Parade Ground. This celebration of the revered equestrian team sport, infused with a distinctive West Texas flair, promises a weekend of excitement and community spirit.

Players, generously donating their time and bringing along their equipment and horses, will once again converge on the Fort Concho Parade Ground, transformed into a vibrant polo field. Against the backdrop of San Angelo's rich equestrian history, attendees will witness thrilling matches and revel in the camaraderie of the sport.

Adding to the festivities, attendees will have the opportunity to indulge in the renowned flavors of Texas barbecue while enjoying live music by country artist Wade Bowen. The barbecue and concert event will kick off at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 4th, at the Ft. Concho Stables.
