METROPOLIS — A brand-new Superman trailer has released online as tickets go on sale.
James Gunn’s Superman is set to soar into theaters on July 11, 2025. To celebrate tickets officially going on sale, a new trailer has been released.
The synopsis for the new Superman reads:
This film follows Clark Kent, a cub reporter in Metropolis, as he navigates the complexities of his dual identity, struggling to reconcile his Kyrptonian heritage with his human upbringing while embracing his role as Superman.
It looks like Lex will be the primary antagonist in the film, but we see plenty of other bad guys like one of Luthor's engineers, possibly Ultraman, the Hammer of Boravia, and some of Lex's goons. Of course, Superman's dog, Krypto, is in the mix as well.
Director James Gunn, who helmed the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy for Marvel Studios, brings his take on a new Man of Steel.
Superman's cast includes:
- David Corenswet (Twisters, Pearl) as Clark Kent/Superman
- Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Patriots Day) as Lois Lane
