SAN ANGELO, TX — Emmy-winning actress Catherine O’Hara has died at the age of 71, according to numerous reports.
O’Hara rose to fame with a string of iconic roles, including as Kevin McCallister’s mother in “Home Alone.”
She won an Emmy for her role as Moira Rose in the TV series, “Schitt’s Creek.”
She also had a prominent role in the movie, “Beetlejuice.”
Born in Toronto in 1954, O’Hara began her career in the 1970s as a member of the comedy troupe Second City and as a voice actor in several cartoons.
In addition to her television and film work, O’Hara continued to appear on screen in recent years, including a role opposite Seth Rogen in the Apple TV+ series, “The Studio.”
