Coronavirus: Nolan County Implements “Stay Home, Work Safe” Order

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Nolan County has issued a “Stay Home, Work Safe” emergency declaration on Wednesday, April 11. According to Nolan County Judge Whitley May, the order will be in effect until Monday, April 13 at 11:59 p.m.

According to KTXS, all public or private gatherings are discouraged, necessary groups may gather up in groups of no more than ten people.

"All residents currently living within Nolan County are ordered to stay at their place of residence except for Essential Activities and Travel as defined by this order, said the county in a statement. ”All persons may leave their residences only for Essential Activities, Essential Travel, or to provide or perform Essential Governmental Functions, or to operate Essential Businesses."

  • Public parks /outdoor recreation will remain open for walking, jogging and running. The use of public playgrounds is discouraged.
  • Restaurants, bars, convenience stores, food trucks, truck stops, and food service facilities may sell food for delivery, take-out, and drive-thru.
  • All gyms, fitness centers, recreation spaces, salons, massage businesses, tattoo parlors, and all entertainment venues will be ordered to close.
  • Religious and worship services may only take place by video or distance measures.
  • No more than 10 people may be in attendance at funerals and weddings.
