Coronavirus: Nursery Closes After Parent Tests Positive

 

ABILENE, TX – The Day Nursery of Abilene –Cedar Street Center has decided to temporarily close its doors after a parent tested positive for COVID-19.

According to KTXS, on Monday the nursery was advised of the potential exposure and determined the child of the infected parent last attended the center last Thursday.

The nursery announced in a press release they continue to follow the guidelines of the CDC, Child Care Licensing, and the Abilene-Taylor County Health District.

The center will remain closed for two weeks according to the health department. 

Families are asked to self-isolate and students will not be transferred to another center. The center is set to reopen on May 4.
