Elon Musk is Making Twitter Fun Again!

OPINION — Ever since Elon musk closed on his $44 billion deal to purchase Twitter, he has been active first as the “Chief Twit” and now as the “Twitter Complaint Hotline Operator” fielding questions from regular folks and famous authors like Stephen King alike. Today, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) announced to the Twitter universe that Musk’s idea he floated yesterday that verified account status (the so-called “blue checkmark” next to the Twitter user’s handle) would cost $8 per month.

AOC wasn’t the only celebrity hounding Musk for suggesting that a subscription plan was in the works. A CNN reporter took a shot at Musk and his $8 subscription plan, too.

Then famous author Stephen King arrogantly tweeted to Musk that Twitter should be paying the famous author instead him paying Musk. Musk’s response was telling:

Musk is selling it as an egalitarian offering.

Fellow billionaire Michael Dell weighed in with a quote from Teddy Roosevelt offering encouragement.

Musk understands journalism and making it sustainable too. He endorsed this video of a brainstorming session about how to help content creators get paid more.

The best thing so far about the Elon Musk-led Twitter is that in a week, stories like Fox News’ headline, “Tim Ryan pledged to support taxpayer-funded gender reassignment surgery for illegal immigrants” (Story here), are trending. In addition hash tags like “#RedWave” are now allowed to be shown to a wider audience too.

Many on the right, who were silenced or banned under the former regime, are starting to come alive and the far left echo chamber it had become is being challenged across the platform. This is by design, Musk tweeted:

His inspiration is Monty Python.
