Swift, Kelce Shut Down New York City Streets for Wedding

NEW YORK, NY — The nauseating love story between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce continued Friday as the power couple chose the middle of New York City on July 4 weekend to hold their wedding.

The event, held at Madison Square Garden, shut down streets and sidewalks around the area.

Numerous celebrities and athletes were part of the 1,000-person guest list.

Aside from Swifties, the fans of billionaire pop star Taylor Swift who have been thrilled by the romance, everyone else has had to endure it.

Swift and Kelce have been plastered over magazine covers and had countless stories written about them since they began dating about three years ago.

Once their romance became public, Kelce couldn’t make a catch for the Kansas City Chiefs without TV cameras trying to capture Swift’s reaction.

They shared news of their engagement last August in a joint Instagram post, and normal people have rolled their eyes ever since while waiting for them to hurry up and tie the knot so we didn’t have to hear about it anymore.

At long last, the two will be married by the time America wakes up tomorrow for July 4. Sadly, however, NFL fans will have to put up with at least one more season of Kelce — and Swift’s reactions — before the two ride off into the sunset.

Even then, Swift should remain in the public eye for decades because of her music. And, let’s be honest, Kelce won’t stay out of the spotlight either. He likes it too much.

The best-case scenario might be that Swift eventually divorces Kelce, but then we’ll have to listen to songs about that, so it’s really a lose-lose situation for the American public.

Our country didn’t deserve this for our 250th birthday.
