Mega Millions Grand Prize Nears $1 Billion

SAN ANGELO, TX - The Mega Millions jackpot has neared $1 billion.

After another drawing on Tuesday failed to create a grand prize winner, the jackpot is currently estimated to be $977 million.

That number is projected ahead of Friday’s drawing, meaning it could rise before then.

If the estimate remains as predicted, and no one wins on Friday, next week’s drawing will cross the billion-dollar mark.

If somebody does match all the numbers right on Friday, they'll have the option of taking a lump sum of $461 million.

Mega Millions hasn't seen a grand prize winner since December 8, 2023, when two tickets shared a $394 million jackpot.

The odds of winning the jackpot are one in 302,575,350.

The Mega Millions drawings occur on Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. Eastern Time.
