Mega Millions Jackpot Rises to $522 Million

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has climbed to $522 million after no one hit the winning numbers in Tuesday’s drawing.

The numbers drawn on Tuesday, May 28, were 12, 18, 48, 57, 62, with the Mega Ball being 4 and a Megaplier of 5. The cash option for the drawing was $226.4 million. Despite the large sum, no ticket matched all six numbers required to win the jackpot.

However, twelve tickets did match four white balls plus the Mega Ball, securing a $10,000 prize each. Two of these winners increased their prize to $50,000 by including the optional Megaplier.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are one in 302,575,350.

Mega Millions drawings are held twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday at 10 p.m. Central Time. Winners have the choice to receive their prize as an annuity paid out over 30 years or a lump sum cash payout, with most opting for the latter.
