WATCH: Scary Snake Captured in a San Angelo Dollar Tree Parking Lot

SAN ANGELO, TX – A scary moment occurred Wednesday afternoon after a snake got caught inside of the running boards of a Cadillac Escalade in the Dollar Tree parking lot next to H-E-B.

On Jun. 23, the City of San Angelo's Animal Control was dispatched to the Dollar Tree parking lot for the report of snake.

When they arrived they discovered a large bull snake that was lodged into the automatic running boards on a red Cadillac Escalade.

Crews worked for nearly 30 minutes attempting to get the snake out but the serpent fought the entire time.

Luckily the crew was able to un-lodge the snake without injuring it.

Bull Snakes are on average 3-5 feet long. This snake was every bit of 5 ft.

The animal control officer confirmed that they will take the snake back to the shelter to check it and let it rest before releasing it back into the wild.

No one was hurt during the incident.
