Winter is Coming: Anglers & Big Bass Don't Care

 

SAN ANGELO – West Texas anglers don't stop casting lines in the winter months and big bass don't stop biting when freezing temps crawl across the region.  

According to the Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept. Inland Fisheries San Angelo, several big bass continue to be caught and entered into the ShareLunker program from San Angelo area waters. 

Shawn Strength submitted a 16.65-pound bass to the TPWD ShareLunker program. Shawn caught this bass from O.H. Ivie Reservoir 11/15/2023 and was awarded Legend status.

Andy Allen submitted a 11.35-pound bass to the TPWD ShareLunker program. Andy caught this bass from Twin Buttes Reservoir on 11/27/2023 and was awarded Elite status.
