Young Anglers Set to Break Records with Local Catches

SAN ANGELO, TX — Two young fishermen are about to set new junior angler waterbody records in town.

Kase Hahn has submitted his catch of a Flathead Catfish for the pending junior angler waterbody record on Lake Nasworthy.

The catfish tipped the scales at 2.75 pounds and measured 20-1/2 inches in length.

In a similar feat, AJ Leyva made waves with his largemouth bass catch in the Concho River Oakes Street section.

Leyva's bass weighed 2.7 pounds and was 16-1/2 inches long.

Leyva's catch has also established the current waterbody record since there was no previous record for Largemouth Bass in this section of the river.

Their achievements are currently under review.
