Dense Fog Blankets West Central Texas, Caution Urged for Morning Commuters

SAN ANGELO – West Central Texas residents are urged to exercise caution this morning as a dense fog advisory remains in effect until 8 AM CDT. Visibility is severely limited, with distances of one quarter mile or less expected due to the thick fog.

The affected area spans a portion of west central Texas, specifically along and south of the I-20 corridor.

Commuters are advised to take necessary precautions when traveling until the advisory lifts. Reduced visibility poses hazardous conditions for drivers, increasing the risk of accidents and delays.

In response to the advisory, officials recommend drivers to slow down, utilize low beams, and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. These measures can help mitigate the dangers associated with limited visibility on roadways.

The dense fog advisory underscores the importance of remaining vigilant while navigating through potentially hazardous weather conditions. Residents are encouraged to stay informed about any updates or changes to the advisory as the morning progresses.
