Two Junior Anglers Submit Record Catches From Nasworthy and Concho River

SAN ANGELO, TX — Two junior anglers made achievements this past weekend by submitting multiple water body records from the San Angelo area.

Rhylan Butts submitted a channel catfish for the pending junior angler waterbody record at Lake Nasworthy. His catch on June 9 weighed 9.90 pounds and measured 27.75 inches long.

This achievement followed his earlier junior angler record-setting catch of a longnose gar on June 8, which weighed 8.80 pounds and was 43.25 inches long, also from Nasworthy.

Not to be outdone, Celeste Hernandez, a familiar face at the local fisheries office, submitted her own water body record.
