San Angelo Angler Lands ShareLunker at Twin Buttes

SAN ANGELO, TX — A local angler was recently recognized by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Toyota ShareLunker program after reeling in a sizable catch from Twin Buttes Reservoir.

Anthony Sr. De la Cruz submitted an 8.33-pound largemouth bass caught on May 24, 2025. The catch qualified him for the Bass Pro Shops Lunker Class, which honors anglers who land bass weighing at least 8 pounds or measuring 24 inches or more.

The TPWD ShareLunker program, active since 1986, partners with anglers across the state to promote bass fishing and collect valuable data for fisheries research. De la Cruz’s catch now joins the statewide database of recognized ShareLunkers.

More information about the program and how to submit a qualifying catch is available at TexasShareLunker.com.
