Rain Chances Low for Now, Higher Next Week

SAN ANGELO, TX— Hot and mostly dry weather will persist across West Central Texas through the weekend, with only isolated showers and thunderstorms possible Thursday afternoon, mainly in southeastern counties, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo.

Highs Thursday are expected to range from the mid-90s to near 102 degrees, with south winds at 5 to 10 mph.

Most areas will stay dry, though rain chances will be around 15% to 20% in parts of Mason and San Saba counties.

Temperatures will remain in the upper 90s to low 100s into next week. Rain chances will gradually rise through the end of the week and could reach 35% to 40% by Tuesday and Wednesday for much of the region.
