SAN ANGELO, TX — Mild and dry weather is expected across San Angelo and much of West Texas on New Year’s Eve, with afternoon highs climbing into the mid to upper 60s before temperatures fall into the lower to mid 40s by midnight, according to the National Weather Service.
Southwest winds are expected to blow at 5 to 10 mph during the afternoon under partly cloudy skies. Conditions will remain dry through the evening as winds shift from the south to southwest at similar speeds.
Looking ahead to the start of 2026, forecasters say a warming trend will continue through the week as high pressure rebuilds over the region. High temperatures are expected to rise into the 70s across much of the area.
A weak cold front is forecast to move through on Saturday, bringing a brief dip in temperatures by a few degrees before warmer conditions return. Overnight lows through the week are expected to range from the upper 20s to mid 50s, depending on location.
No hazardous weather is anticipated, and dry conditions are expected to persist through the week.
