SAN ANGELO, TX — The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for all of West Central Texas, with overnight lows expected to drop into the upper 20s and lower 30s tonight into Tuesday morning.
The warning is in effect from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to the latest update from the NWS San Angelo office. The coldest temperatures are anticipated in low-lying areas and river valleys.
Residents are advised to protect outdoor pipes, sensitive vegetation and bring pets indoors to prevent damage from the freezing conditions.
A warming trend is expected through the week as high pressure develops. High temperatures are forecast to climb into the upper 90s by the weekend, nearing 100 degrees in some locations.
