SAN ANGELO, TX — A significant warming trend will push temperatures into the upper 90s and near triple digits by the weekend after a cool start to the week, the National Weather Service in San Angelo said Tuesday.
High pressure will build over the area, driving the rapid warmup late in the week, according to the NWS extended forecast.
In San Angelo, highs will climb from 68 degrees Tuesday to 81 Wednesday, 90 Thursday, 95 Friday and 98 Saturday before easing to 96 Sunday. Lows will rise from 31 Tuesday to 64 Sunday.
Nearby communities will see nearly identical patterns. Abilene, Ballinger, Coleman and Sweetwater are among those forecast to hit 98 degrees Saturday. Brownwood, Junction, Ozona and San Saba will top out in the mid- to upper 90s over the weekend.
