Thirteen Percent of Tom Green County Voters Cast Ballots Early

SAN ANGELO, TX – Early voting ended Friday evening with 7,105 in person, 1,590 ballots by mail and 36 provisional votes cast for a total of 8,731.  There are 67,305 registered voters in Tom Green County meaning early voting turnout was about 13 percent.

According to the Tom Green County Elections office, voters are reminded that Election Day is Tuesday, March 3, 2020.  Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 19 locations will be open (see below).  The Election office is not a voting location on election day.  Voters that wish to turn in a voted ballot may bring it to the election office.  The voter themselves are the only ones that can turn in the voted ballot and they must show ID.

By law, no electioneering may be conducted within 100 feet of a polling place.  This means no hats, buttons, shirts, etc. supporting or opposing a candidate may be worn within the 100 feet.  No electronic recording devices are allowed within 100 feet of a polling place – this includes cell phones so voters need to plan accordingly.

The Photo law is effective for this election.  Acceptable forms of ID include:
