WATCH: The Campaigns Are Over and Now Voters Will Decide Who Wins

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The May 1 election is Saturday and with that San Angelo LIVE! has compiled a story filled with video interviews with some of the candidates.

Note not every candidate sat down on camera with San Angelo LIVE! but a majority of candidates were offered the opportunity.

Here is Billie DeWitt. She is running for City Council Single Member District 6. She currently holds the chair and is running for reelection.

Next is current Mayor of San Angelo, Brenda Gunter. She is running for reelection in hopes for a second term as Mayor.

Another contender for Single Member District 6 is Larry Miller. Miller is a retired air force veteran.

Someone attempting to take down the current mayor is Silvara Lawson. Lawson is a real estate agent in San Angelo.

The third candidate in single member district 2 is James Ervin. Ervin is a disabled veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Goodfellow Air Force Base when he retired.  

The candidates for Mayor of San Angelo are Brenda Gunter, Silvara Lawson and Dietrick Tillis.  

San Angelo City Council District 6 candidates are Billie DeWitt, Larry Miller and James Ervin.  

San Angelo City Council District 2 candidates are Tom Thompson, Mercedes Dela Cruz and Cie Rangel.  

Candidates for San Angelo ISD school board district one are Bill Dendel and Chris Giroux.  

Candidates for SAISD district 3 are Taylor Kingman and Debbie Cross.  

Candidates for SAISD district 4 are Ami Mizell-Flint and Lynette Lucas. 

There are a number of other seats up for election including a number of school board seats for SAISD, Grape Creek ISD, and a $8.2 million dollar bond for Water Valley ISD. 

The May 1 election will be held from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. For polling information click here.
