Cole Running for TGC Constable Pct. 4

SAN ANGELO, TX – Veteran Criminal Investigator Gary Cole is running for Tom Green County Constable Pct. 4. in the March GOP Primary election.

Boasting over a decade of dedicated service, Cole served as the cellphone forensics investigator for the Tom Green Co. Sheriff's Office before contributing his expertise to the creation of a Street Crimes Division within the Howard County Sheriff's Office.

A native of Tom Green County, Cole and his wife have been fixtures in the community for over 20 years. Their daughter is currently a Junior at Central High School.

Cole initiated his law enforcement career at the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, as a Correctional Officer. Over the years, he transitioned to the patrol division, eventually earning a promotion to criminal investigator in May 2011. During his tenure in investigations, he obtained his master peace officer license and specialized in cell phone forensics.

Having undertaken a 10-month assignment of undercover work in the Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit, Cole was instrumental in apprehending individuals involved in illegal narcotics and firearms activities.

Reflecting on his years in investigations, Cole expressed a particular commitment to protecting children from predators. If re-elected, he vows to continue this essential work.

“Of all my years of investigations from assaults, organized crime, convicts and even homicides, the most rewarding ones are the ones spying on predators that I see are after our children,” he said. “I’ve covered many of these predators who live amongst our community. And if I am re-elected, I am going to continue doing that.”

In addition to his law enforcement duties, Cole has developed a course aimed at educating teenagers about the dangers of social media. If elected as constable, he intends to continue this service.

Cole encapsulates his dedication to his profession with the motto, “The name on your patch is the one who hired you, the name on your name-plate is the one who raised you, represent them both with honor and integrity.”
