Retired DPS Trooper Endorses Hernandez for Chief of Police

SAN ANGELO, Texas – Retired Dept. of Public Safety Trooper and District Court Bailiff Alvin Hale of San Angelo has endorsed Lt. Mike Hernandez for San Angelo Police Chief in the May 4, 2024 Municipal Election.

Below is the letter from Trooper Hale:

"47 years as a Texas Peace Officer. I have known Lt Hernandez while working as a bailiff for the District Courts since 1997.   Either as a witness or as a fellow officer, he presents himself as a courteous and respectful professional individual. Even when he is not doing his law enforcement duties, he is there to help however he can. He is strong in his faith and a very family oriented husband and father. I think Mike would be an excellent Chief of Police for San Angelo."
